Ship 72 Skipper Dean Skiff says:

These periodic posts are made to keep Ship 72 members, parents, and interested folks informed as to our activities and our plans.

I welcome positive feedback.

Ahoy All!
On behalf of the Ship’s committee and myself, I want to thank former skipper, Brad Gardiner, for his time and service. We wish him well in his future endeavors.

After serving on Ship 72’s committee the past several years, I have returned as skipper of Ship 72 to continue and enhance our mission.

Our mission statement is very simple, “To Safely Have Fun On The Water.”

With unequalled access to Pleasant Bay, Cape Cod Bay, Atlantic Ocean and all their rivers, ponds and access points, we provide a wide range of maritime opportunities for Ship 72 members.

To achieve our mission we have a dedicated committee, talented consultants, a great place to meet, and great community support. We have sail, power, and rowing boats plus an abundance of natural resources in our local waters that beg for exploration.

Many families may not be aware of the exceptional "on the water" opportunities our program offers young people so we will be having an informational get together at our "Landship". (time/date to be announced)

We invite all parents and youth between the ages of 14 (or have graduated from the 8th grade) and 20 to participate in our hands-on programs.

There will be no pressure to join, and if it is not for you, you may wish to share the program information with someone you think might enjoy what we offer. No sailing or maritime experience is necessary. We will teach you.

If you have aquatic experience, super. We will give you an opportunity to learn more and use your skills to help teach others. Grab a friend, come to one of our meetings and see what we are all about.

You have no doubt seen one of our boats moored on Pleasant Bay, or in the St. Patrick's Day Parade in Yarmouth, with the Cape Cod Sail and Power Squadron. Also the Ol' GAFFER, our 18 ft. catboat at CJ’s Automotive Garage in Eastham on Rt. 6.

We welcome you to join us and “Safely Have Fun On The Water”.

Please contact me or go to “Contact Us“ on our web page for further contact information.

I look forward to meeting you soon,
