night we had a great first meeting. Many
good ideas were thrown out and discussed.
The best part was seeing everyone on board
and enthusiastic about the potential for
an active Sea Scout program. Being our
first organizational meeting our compass
heading change quite often and our wake
jigged and jagged but always in a positive
direction. Here are some of the ideas
MARKETING MATERIALS: POSTER - Add Skipper
Dean Skiff, Website, Picture of a male
and female teenager vs. the adult picture,
Move date, day and time over so we can
write in info.
SEAMANSHIP MENTORING PROGRAM.
BUSINESS CARDS date, time, location,
contact & phone hand written on back.
BROCHURES hard copies about Nauset
Use/display one of the SURF BOATS as a
sign to attract attention to our program.
Location to be discussed.
Share Ship 72 to the Cape Tech. as well
Work with Orleans Big Brother and
Big Sister Program. Adults are all ready
in place with 14-16 yr olds. Help to get
word out about Ship 72.
Once we are established, form a relationship
with Local Harbor Masters, CG36500, Cape
Cod Maritime Museum and other organizations
that share our same interests. A
Win / Win All parties can benefit
from each other.

Dick Hilmer is going to contact the editor
of the CAPE CODDER, have her meet with
us so an article about The Nauset Sea
Scouts can be in the Paper preceding our
INFORMATIONAL MEETING with teens and parents.
We have to get the word out!
Our next meeting is pending on the editors
availability at the moment.
