Our Mission and Our Vision

  • Our Vision: Make our community stronger by providing youth the tools necessary for becoming successful productive citizens.
  • Our Mission: To mentor local youth in the development of critical life skills (character, leadership, social), boating and other outdoor skills, and provide exposure to future career opportunities.
  • Our Promise to the Community: We are a fun, “hands-on” program that builds better and more mature young men and women. Our outdoor adventures provide experiences and friendships that will last a lifetime. They build character, self confidence and leadership. Together our efforts will develop the capable and talented future leaders of and contributors to our community.

Over 70 Years of Success

Since 1947, Nauset Ship 72 has succeeded in building character and other life skills, boating and other outdoor skills, in local youth. These proud Scouts have gone on to become successful business owners and career professionals in our community.

They are pilots, teachers, boat builders, engineers, Coast Guardsmen and merchant mariners.

The advantages of scouting are clear, and many world leaders have claimed scouting among the defining periods of their lives.

To Parents and Grandparents: We welcome your participation and invite you to attend our meetings and our activities.
